Setup guides
Step-by-step guides for student Google accounts, Chrome sync, and signing into the school programs parents ask about most. Every guide is a printable PDF.
Please note: this site is not monitored 24/7. Tickets are monitored Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-3:30 PM during school hours. Requests submitted outside those times are saved in the SJS IT Self-Service Desk and reviewed the next school support day.
Start with Google account sync
Schoology, IXL, Discovery Education, Learning Ally, and HMH Ed all use the student's SJS Google account. When a student is not signed in or Chrome is not synced to the SJS account, school applications may not recognize the correct student.
Getting a 2-step verification prompt at home? Codes go to the recovery contacts on the student’s account (the parent phone and parent email we have on file). You can request a recovery contact update.
Raz Kids and XtraMath do not use Google SSO. Parents can retrieve stored login information from the Raz Kids and XtraMath pages, or submit an IT ticket if the information does not work.
Start here. Add the student's SJS Google profile to Chrome and turn on sync — required for Schoology, IXL, Discovery Education, and Learning Ally.
