Set up your PowerSchool account
For families who have never had a Parent Portal account at a Diocese of Arlington school. Request your child's Access ID below, then create your own login.
Step 2 — Create your account
- Go to arlingtondiocese.powerschool.com/publicOpen it in any web browser.
- Click the Create Account tabThen the Create Account button underneath it.
- Make your own username and passwordNo @ sign, no spaces, no apostrophes. This is what you will sign in with from now on.
- Link your studentUnder Link Students to Account, enter the Student Name, Access ID and Access Password from your email, then choose your relationship.
Step 3 — The phone app (optional)
The PowerSchool Mobile app uses the same username and password as the website.

Set the website up first — the app cannot create an account.
Parent Portal access
When the Parent Portal is open
When you can sign in depends on your child’s grade.
Grades 3 – 8
Open all year. Sign in whenever you like to see attendance, grades and report cards. There is no window to wait for.
Kindergarten – 2nd grade
Open at three points in the year for report card viewing, and closed in between. A paper copy of the report card is also sent home with your child.
- First report card Opens Friday, December 4, 2026after 3:30 PM Closes Friday, December 18, 2026
- Second report card Opens Friday, March 12, 2027after 3:30 PM Closes Thursday, March 25, 2027
- End of year Opens the last day of school, June 2027after 3:30 PM Closes 10 days later
New to St. Joseph this year? The portal is also open for the first 10 days of the school year so you can create your Parent Portal account. If that window has already passed, submit a ticket and we will get you set up.
